I’m so sad right now. I’ve thought about selling it for a couple years now but never did because riding was just so great. This year, though, I haven’t had it start once. I can’t work on it where I live and no shop has the time or care to transport it for me. I’m moving soon and took that as a sign to say goodbye.
I made the mistake of reading a post I wrote !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . I hate this bike but love it at the same time.
Fuck.

I feel for you. I sold my Ducati (my first bike) a couple of years ago after going from 15k miles one year, to just barely over 3k miles the last year I had it. You’ll get another one someday!

Thanks for that. The “I know the feels” sentiment is always appreciated.
I just wish I could have fixed it up...it would have been a great learning experience.

I'm with you. Every time I see someone wheelie I cry a little bit.

Ouch, I’m sorry. I know the feels, and it sucks, even worse than selling a car.
I sold my CBR1000RR 2 years ago to pay for my honeymoon. I had wrecked it at the track 2 years before that and never found the time or money to fix it, so I decided to let it go.
Now I’ve got a CB-1 sitting in my friend’s parent’s garage with is bike. He’s selling his and moving out, which means it’s time for mine to go. It also needs work, and in the last year I’ve been able to make it up to work on it exactly 4 times, and it still won’t even idle properly.
But hopefully soon you’ll be somewhere new and more bike friendly and can start looking for a new one.

Can’t you just drive or push it up the ramp of a U-Haul (or similar) moving truck and move it with all your other stuff?

Ouch...twice bit, it seems.

No place to keep it.

Ah... that’s too bad.

It happens. And there hasn’t been a lot of motivation to get another bike for me because we live in an apartment and there’s nowhere to store it. Our neighborhood is nice so I wouldn’t worry too much about it getting stole, but at the same time I’d prefer not to have it just sitting outside all the time.
But we’re looking to move at the end of the year. If we get a house with a garage, it’s on!

What bike, and what sort of problems is it having?

1995 Suzuki VS1400. Clutch is stuck disengaged. Lever locks, not like it’s stuck due to pressure though. Or it is stuck in neutral because I can’t use the clutch. Won’t start because of the lever. Has a charge, lights work, fueled but can’t go through the motions.
Went to take it apart and I don’t have tools to reach all the bolts. Some are tucked awkwardly.

Huh. We’ve had a few bikes with seized up levers. Usually rust or corrosion freezing the cylinders, but I don’t think that’s likely with how nice yours looks.

Yeah, I’ve got nothing
